This renovation of a beautiful Tudor home in South Orange, NJ, was designed to meet the contemporary lifestyle needs of its new owners while preserving the charm and character of the original space. The goal was to create an open concept layout that seamlessly blended modern functionality with the home’s traditional features.

To bring in abundant natural light and enhance the connection between the interior and exterior, we installed a French door leading from the kitchen to the deck. Additionally, a new 9-foot wall opening was created between the kitchen and the newly designated family room, resulting in a perfect flow of spaces ideal for both everyday living and entertaining.

In keeping with the home’s original style, all new openings were finished with carefully selected molding, replicating the design elements found throughout the house, maintaining its timeless appeal while updating it for modern use.
